Scripture: “You yourselves have seen everything the Lord
your God has done to all these nations for your sake; it was the Lord your God
who fought for you. Remember … the Lord your God fights for you, just as he
promised. So be very careful to love the Lord your God. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has
failed.” Joshua 23:3-4a, 10b, 11, 14b
“You are my King and my God … you give
us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame. In God we make our boast all day long, and we
will praise your name forever.” Psalm
44:4a, 7a-8
“For I received from the Lord what I
also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took
bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my
body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In
the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant
in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you
proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
I Corinthians 11:23-26
This
came from our daily reading in Joshua 23, Psalm 44:1-8 and 1 Corinthians 11
Observation/Application: This weekend is a time that many set aside to
remember everything the Lord has done for us and how He has fought for us
through his death, burial and resurrection.
Everything the Lord said would happen did. Let us love and praise and boast in Him this
weekend and always!
