What am I worth?

What am I worth?
He values me

“... how much more valuable you are than the birds” (Luke 12:7, also Matthew 12:12). God in His love, deems us to be valuable. Jesus himself said we should not worry about what we will eat, wear, or about our life … He will take care for us.

He died for me

The Bible informs us that at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly (us). Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man … but God demonstrates His love for us in this: "while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:6-8) What am I worth?

He set me apart

He set us apart ... “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart.” (Jeremiah 1:5) And should we stumble and lose our way He will seek us out ... His purpose in the incarnation, his birth, was to seek and save those who were lost (Luke 19:10).

He rescues me

God cares so much for us that He was willing to come to this world in person to rescue us: Who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father” (Galatians 1:4) “For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the Kingdom of His beloved Son” (Colossians 1:13). He takes us from the pit and puts us in His Kingdom ~ we are Princesses, daughters of the King. One of my favorite movies is Ever After with Drew Barrymore and one of my favorite scenes is when the Prince comes to the palace of the evil villain to rescue her. She is dirty, feels unworthy and embarrassed when he arrives, but nonetheless he comes to find her and make her his wife ...

Romans 8:31-32 indicates God's sentiment toward each of us: “ If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?”

What am I worth? He certainly has kept His end of the bargain ... He has given us everything to show us His love and the value He places on us so we can know, according to the Creator of All, what we are worth, how will we live up to that?

I heard a message preached recently where the bottom line was this: God will show up in a mess for you. If you feel like things are messy right now, that you are not feeling worth much, remember He finds great value in you and He loves you so much. He was willing to come and be born in a messy stable (not a sterilized hospital) and He will come into whatever "mess" you are in today. He says to you: I will come and take you as you are ... like the prince in Ever After.

You are a treasured daughter of the Highest King!

Too often because we believe the lies of the evil one we think we do not have worth and therefore go after worthless things, but today we have discovered He has called you out, set you apart, given His very life for you, therefore turn that worth to worship and worship the Only One Worthy, look to Him as your mirror and step out in faith as a Princess of His Kingdom and see where He directs you today ...
