S - Scripture: Genesis 14:1-24


Verses 1-12 ~ The wars of nations
Verses 13-16 ~ Abram rescuses Lot & the other captives
Verses 17-20 ~ Melchizedek blesses Abram
Verses 21-24 ~ Abram restores the spoil



O - Observations:


There is war, a rescue from captivity, a blessing to Abram and God and ultimately restoration.



A - Application for me today:


Worship the Most High, El Elyon! Run to His presence ... when war is all around us, where can we go but into His Presence? Run to Him!



P - Prayer in response to today:


El Elyon, Most High God, Possessor of Heaven and earth, forgive us when we separate ourselves from your protection seeking that which looks "greener" as Lot did. Forgive us and bring us back from the captivities we allow ourselves to get into. You are just to allow us to suffer wars and battles and to be taken captive by the enemy, but we come to you on the basis of your mercy and ask for you to rescue and restore us by your Might. Amen & Amen.



I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
